They will start learning about the Customary Unit of Length (inches, feet, yards, and miles) and Customary Unit of Capacity (cups, pints, quarts, gallons). Then students will start to convert between units. ELA: Due to last weeks snow/ice days, some classes are finishing up Unit 6 and some are starting Unit 7 in Benchmark Advance this week. We will have out Unit 6 spelling test this week! The Unit 6 Spelling words are posted on the documents page. It is a complete list that students will be tested over. We are also starting our new novel Bound for Oregon. We love this book! It is about a family that sets out on the Oregon Trail. Social Studies: This week we will continue discussing the Oregon Trail by journaling in our Tea Dyed Oregon Trail Journals. Ask your kiddo what kind of things happen to them on the trail this week! Science: We will begin our Earth Science Unit this week! Students will learn about processes that shape the Earth!
