They will learn a variety of strategies to help them solve long division. Please encourage them to show you the strategy used in class! Each student will find the best strategy for them to use in order to solve the problems. It can get frustrating as they are learning each strategy, yet we will constantly tell them to try it out and then use the strategy that works for them! Please continue to help them master the basic division facts by practicing with flash cards, iPad games, computer games, or other fun ways to reinforce the skill. We will review these topics on Wednesday and take our test on Thursday! ELA: This week we will continue in Unit 4 of Benchmark Advance. In order for you to stay focused on spending the time with your child at lunch, we are making a change in what this looks like. As a visiting parent or family member, you have two choices. 1. You may join your child at the table where they normally sit during lunch. 2. You may sit at the visitors' table with your child. We will no longer have students invite friends to eat with them at the visitors table. This will allow you time to enjoy lunch with your child. This will start on Monday, December 11, 2017. A message from Student Council: We are hosting a spirit week this week! Show us your holiday spirit by participating! Monday December 11th: Ugly Sweater Day Tuesday December 12th: Dress like your favorite holiday Wednesday December 13th: Dress like a present Thursday December 14th: Dress like a snowman Friday December 15th: PJ Day!
