December 13: Next Region Test December 13: Boxes of Hope due December 18: All school spelling bee @ 9:00 December 19: Winter Party @ 11:45 No spelling for the month of December Boxes of Hope Project: Students listened to the sweet story about a gift that was given. The gift wasn't expensive but provided hope and inspiration to the recipient. Students drew a name of a peer in their class that they will be doing a project on to give to their box buddy in two weeks. Here is what they will be doing: -decorating a box (shoe box, amazon box, etc.) it can be decorated with wrapping paper -homemade gift (ornament, baked good, etc.) -letter -short story or poem -5 compliments -illustration All of these things will go in their box to give their buddy on reveal day. All of the assignments will be done at school except the homemade gift and box. ELA: Students are working on a persuasive piece of writing about which Christmas character has the hardest job during the holiday season! Students will also be working on various Reading and Grammar skills. These will be made fun and festive for Winter! December is our Favorite!!Social Studies: This week we will start our fourth region. Mrs. Harrison's class will about the Northeast Mrs. Bockhoff's class will learn about the Northeast Mrs. Kremer's class will learn about the West Mrs. Shaffer's class will about the Southeast Mrs. Stephenson's class will about the Southwest Our test over these regions will be on Friday, December 13th.
