We will leave the school at 10:15am and expect to return at 12:45. We will be going to Sunrise Assisted Living to celebrate the “Production and Distribution of Writing.” Students will work on the standard for “Speaking and Listening.” When we are done sharing our stories, we will go to the park next to the facility to have lunch, weather permitting. Please send your child with a sack lunch this day. If it ends up not being a nice day outside, we will come back to the school and have lunch in the pods together. Math: Students will extend their understanding of fractions by multiplying a fraction to a whole number. Students will then start to learn how decimals and fractions are related. They will continue to review the previous unit of adding and subtracting fractions throughout this unit. Here are some great games to practice these skills: http://mrnussbaum.com/docrb1 http://mrnussbaum.com/placevaluepirates1/ http://mrnussbaum.com/death-decimals/ Spelling: This week is a Spelling Application week.
